The Holland Business Club cordially invites all Dutch and Flemish families to celebrate St.Nicolaas!  The Holy Bishop rides the roofs on a white horse escorted by his Moorish helper to Naba Kindergarten at 16:00 and brings gifts for those children that have behaved well.

Come and join us with friends and families. We will have a wonderful party with speculaas and pepernootjes, warm drinks and great songs. For the smallest we have toys for play.  

To help out Sinterklaas, please purchase a small gift for your child in the price range of 15 to max 25 euros and bring it along on the 4^th of December. The gift should be wrapped and have the first and last name of your child written on with big capital letters, so it would be easy for Sinterklaas to find the right gift from the big pile.

To refresh Sinterklaas’ memory, please send an e-mail to the info@hollandbusinessclub.ee  with the information about your kid(s); activities this year; was she/he exceptionally good at something or is there room for improvement; what the hobbies are, etc. This information about each participating child is needed to help Sinterklaas say some personal words while handing out gifts.

Our next event will be an excursion to the Arkna Manor on Saturday, the 8th of October.

Arkna Manor is a whole preserved Manor ensemble where people are amongst other activities currently developing organic agricultural production to build a sustainable community. They are also making an effort for opening the region for tourism.

We will learn about the history of the Manor, see the park, Farmhouse and visit the Dairy, which is run by our HBC member and cheesemaker Pascal Smits.

Members of the Danish Chamber of Commerce are also invited to the event.

If you wish to spend an interesting day with your family and friends please respond latest by Tuesday, 4^th of October – info@hollandbusinessclub.ee  Don’t forget to add how many persons are coming and if you need  transport. We recommend carpooling, but it is possible to organize a bus from Tallinn. Group size for this excursion is limited up to 30 persons, so who is first is first.

Due to the Holland-Estonian Football Game the event starts one hour earlier, at 18.00, in the usual place - NoKu Klubi (Pikk st 5), so those who wish to eat and drink have time to do so, before going to the Lilleküla A.le Coq Arena together.

"The International Chambers of Commerce Football Tournament 2013 powered by Danske Bank"

Event will take place on Saturday, May 25 at Kadriorg stadium. Nine international chambers of commerce have  signed up for the tournament this year: American, British, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, German, Spanish, Swedish and the Junior Chamber International. Announcers of the tournament are Jonathan Poole and Leo O'Neill from BECC. Every game lasts 20 minutes. Refreshments are available at the stadium.

Viljandi City Government and Mayor of Viljandi Mr. Loit Kivistik wants to give gratitude and ask the HBC members to participate on a boat christening at the beautiful  lakeside of lake Viljandi. 4 hiking boats are brought to Viljandi and given to the local rowing club as a present by Dutch man Mr. Karel Westerling

The guest speaker of the Luncheon is Mr. Raido Pikkar, incubation manager of Tehnopol, also founder of the Startup Garage, advisor and board member of Estonia's first technology company accelerator WiseGuys Estonia.

The Annual General Meeting of the Holland Business Club will take place on the 4th of May at 17:30 in restoran Kaevukohvik (Rataskaevu 16, Tallinn). The AGM will continue at 19:00 with the Happy Holland Hour.

The British Estonian Chamber of Commerce has invited the members of the HBC, Danish and Norwegian Chambers for its "monthly mingle". This is a social event where the members of the various Chambers get to meet the members of the BECC as well as each other. Free of charge for HBC members.

This event is organized by the Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Estonia in cooperation with FICE (Foreign Investors Council in Estonia).

On Sunday 5th December the Dutch traditionally celebrate the birthday of St. Nicolaas, the Bishop of Myra. Sinterklaas rides the roofs on his white horse, escorted by his Moorish helpers. They go down the chimney of each home and leave a gift next to the fireplace or stove for those children that have been on good behaviour the past year. Naturally Sinterklaas also visits the youngest children of the HBC members as well as those of other members of the Dutch community in Estonia.

The ICT Demo Center is a showcase of exiting innovative solutions made in Estonia, members will be given a personal demo tour. "Estonia has found recognition as an IT-capable country and many technological services have been developed here, but the introduction and sale of these solutions in Estonia and abroad have been stunted until now. The ICT Demo Center will showcase the solutions intended for the public and the private sector and will show them functioning together.
